Podcast: Designing with words (with UX-writer & Content Designer Lucie)

What’s the real difference between UX-writing and content design? And how do you create inclusive, accessible content that works across cultures? In this episode of Creator Talks, Mediaforta content creator Lucie shares her expertise and passion for the craft of designing with words.

What is the difference between UX-writing & Content Design?

“A UX-writer will focus on writing the content that goes in the interface. I would write the text for onboarding flows, the processes people follow when they just downloaded an app and they are going through the stages of making an account etc. That text is written by a UX-writer. Content Designer have more of an overarching role, they decide more on the content strategy. But the two jobs are very similar.” – Lucie

Neurodiversity

“Being neurodivergent has influenced a lot of choices I made in my career. I need to understand how things work, so I can use them. I can see problems from a mile away, because of my neurodiversity. I always need very structured and clear information. Having that mindset helps anyone. When the information is clear and accessible for neurodivergent people, it also helps neurotypical people.” – Lucie
